How the Township of Langley Online Permitting Process Works (Step-by-Step)

• Option B (Via MyTownship Dashboard): Sign in to MyTownship, find your application under accounts by filtering by property address or Folder Number (BPxxxxxx), and click "Upload Drawings".

In the Plan Review Portal form, verify your contact details and application number, then attach your documents in Form Fields A through J (up to 10 separate files). Enter an accurate description for each document specifying its discipline (such as Architectural, Structural, or Geotechnical), then click Submit. You will receive an immediate on-screen confirmation and confirmation email.

Step 4 — Forward Any Plan Checker Review Comments Directly to Us

During plan review, Township of Langley examiners review your drawings against local zoning bylaws, the BC Building Code, and engineering standards.

If plan checkers require drawing revisions or additional details, they will issue a Plan Review Comment Notice. Simply forward that notice to Canadian Blueprint. We will review the plan examiner's comments, make all necessary CAD updates, re-export the updated PDF sheets with revision clouds, and return them ready for re-upload.

Step 5 — Settle Final Fees, Download Stamped Plans & Book Inspections

When your application is fully approved:

• The Township emails an invoice for the remaining permit issuance fee and any applicable security deposits (e.g., damage deposits or tree protection bonds).
• Upon payment, your Building Permit is officially issued, and City-stamped drawings become available for download in your MyTownship account.
• Jobsite Paper Set Requirement: Print one full-size (24″ × 36″ or 30″ × 42″) paper set of the Township-approved stamped drawings and permit, and keep it on the construction site for all inspector visits.
• Scheduling Inspections: Schedule required site inspections online anytime through your MyTownship Account using your permit number and access code.
